It has become famous in particular for its hot air balloon flights with the Montgolfiades. It is a major base for mountain ballooning. It must be said that flying overlooking Mont Blanc is an exceptional privilege.
In terms of terroir, Praz-sur-Arly is the commune in France with the largest number of cheese appellations: six in total (4 AOCs: Beaufort, Reblochon, Abondance, and Chevrotin, 2 PGIs: Tomme and Emmental de Savoie). Many farms are still in operation and take you on a journey of discovery through a preserved region.
